Remember when the world was supposed to end on the 21st of December 2012? Goku saved us. Remember when that meteor hit Russia? Yeah, that was Goku too.

I don’t know ’bout y’all, but I grew up spending my Saturday mornings watching cartoons (before I spent the rest of my day playing outside with the other kids, of course). From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to X-Men, there was never a time that I found myself being too grown up or “too cool” for action cartoons (or any cartoon in general, really). Of all the shows that ever came on my TV, there was only one that I wished to live my life vicariously through, Dragonball Z (no, not because I’m Asian). Let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want superspeed, to fly, to transform energy into beams you can blast people with, and make your hair grow longer and blond by powering up? Okay, maybe not that last one, but I think you get where I’m coming from. All these superpowers were and are just about every boy’s dream. I can’t even deny wanting those abilities now at 25 (surprise, I am that old).

Speaking of which, I turn 26 this year and not much has changed. While I admit the graphics on Dragonball Z are a little outdated and it takes several episodes for anything to really happen, I’m not ashamed to admit that I still love the show. However, last year I was introduced to what I believe is the best anime ever. What could possibly be better than Dragonball Z?

Yes, it’s so good that it needs it’s own paragraph. That, and I just hooked you up with a link to where you can watch every single episode up to date (to include the movies). You’re welcome and don’t say I never gave you anything! The animation and fighting sequences are good, story line is great, but what makes this show better than the others is the character development. I don’t want to ruin it by giving you too much info, so I’ll leave it at that. Check it out, I promise you’ll be hooked. If not, maybe you’re “not cool enough.

“Hidden Leaf” is a ninja village in the anime Naruto. Geeky, but ask me if I care.
