Francis Kenneth - I Think I Can

I, literally, just got home from another long work day (15 hours to be exact), but that’s neither here nor there. Instead, I want to touch on the importance of work ethic ( I can’t stress enough about how much it matters). It’s, also, pretty fitting considering the title of this particular entry and the look I’m posting with it.

As mentioned in my previous post, I separate from the good ol’ US Navy in a couple of months. While most people at this point in their military career would “drop their pack,” I find myself working harder than I ever had in the last five years. It’s easy for most people to stop caring with such little time left, but for some reason, I can’t find it in myself to follow suit. Maybe it’s how I was raised? Maybe it’s my personality? Whatever it is, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I, for the most part, am pretty ambitious and hard working. If I want something, I get it. If I don’t, you better believe I did and gave everything I possibly could. At the end of the day, you get what you give. The amount of work you put into something is a direct reflection of who you are, and whether others take notice of it or not shouldn’t be of your concern. You’re the only one who’ll truly know how much work you put in. Putting your heart and soul into everything you do yields results, even if you don’t see them right away. Call it cliche, but I promise, the “blood, sweat and tears” will pay off.

Work ethic…don’t ever let them question yours, not even for a second.
