FOUR WALLS DON’T MAKE A HOME

FOUR WALLS DON'T MAKE A HOME

San Jose, the third and final stop on our road trip to the Bay Area! We started by location scouting for some wedding photos we were going to take the next day of Youtube sensation, Jennifer Chung and her husband Joules. Sly was informed by one of the wedding videographers of this sweet setup at the Alviso Marina Park, so we checked it out. The scenery was just too legit (to quit) to even consider shooting anywhere else, so we stuck with it. If, for any reason, you’re in San Jose, this place is an absolute must!

Our friend Alysa was kind enough to give us a place to stay for two nights, so we made our way over to her humble abode shortly after. We really can’t thank her enough for taking us in and being such an amazing hostess! She drove us to the Great Mall (of the Bay Area) for some retail therapy, then treated us to dinner at the super hip Naglee Park Garage where I devoured a lamb steak (lamb two nights in a row, I know) and a bunch of other things we all shared. They even had my favorite beer, Duchesse de Bourgogne! Alysa’s “friend” Gil, a witty, yet charming beer connoisseur, tagged along at the tail end of the meal. From there, we ended the night at Cafe LaTTea where we met up with Arthur (Instant Noodles) and his lovely girlfriend Jever. Yes, the same Arthur who designed my logo! After a couple hours of good conversation with great company, we called it a night. The next morning, Alysa and I went for a nice little run around the block, while Sly went ahead to start shooting the wedding. I eventually caught up with her, and the rest of the day was pretty much spent photographing. I won’t spoil it, so you’ll have to follow Sly’s blog for anything on that. The morning after the wedding, the girls made a hearty breakfast before Sly and I had to head back on the road home.

Overall, I have to say that the trip was not only eventful, but a success. So much so, that plans to go back up are already in the works! Thanks again to everyone who made it such a memorable experience. I hope to see you all soon!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT | Strawberries (or any type of berry) and condensed milk make a solid combination.
LESSON LEARNED |  Don’t open an entire can of condensed milk if you’re eating alone.
