SCHOOL’S OUT

SCHOOL'S OUT

GRADUATION | Spring 2015.

Yep, that’s right. Only one year left, and I’ll be finally done with my Bachelor’s at 27 years old. Better late than never (but never late is better, I know). To my credit, I took a six year hiatus between my GE units (CSU-Fullerton) in 2007 to my current major/minor units (CSU-Dominguez Hills) for the whole military shin dig. Now that finals are over and school’s out, it’s time to shift my focus on other pursuits. This summer will be all about growing my brand, playing music, and “gettin’ dat chedda.” Grinding never stops.

Speaking of which, the peeps at Urban Outfitters reached out to me to do a collab for some of their summer pieces. In this post, I styled an outfit around one of their loose-fit tank tops. Just in time for the heat, this tank top is super soft, lightweight, and therefore extremely comfortable. It also comes in three other colors if black isn’t your thing! The shirts run longer in length, so that’s something to keep in mind as well (I’m wearing a small in these photos).

Nothing bothers me more than being stagnant, so I try to mix things up when it comes to outfits. This one in particular is a mix of the UK street style and Los Angeles skate/punk. Remember, don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone! More often than not, the change is exactly what we need.

At any rate, thanks to Urban Outfitters for the opportunity, and stay tuned for a second post featuring one of their short-sleeved shirts!
