FKSLYxJPN, DAY 3

FKSLYxJPN, DAY 2
Yes, this crossing is just as insane as it’s portrayed (kind of felt like Time Square to be honest).

About half a year ago, I met Samantha for the first time while she was home in California. Since she lives in Japan, it was only right that we hung out in her new hood. We met up in Shibuya where we, just like everywhere else we went, shopped and ate. I can’t even remember where exactly we went (entirely too many stores), but here are some things that immediately come to mind from that day:

1. The only Taco Bell is there, and apparently there’s always Disneyland-like lines for their inflatedly priced fast food.
2. Although Japan, in general, is pretty crowded, this was the only place that actually felt like it was actually crowded.
3. Shibuya is definitely one of the most fashion forward places I’ve been to so far. However, Harajuku takes the cake as far as Japanese fashionistas are concerned.
4. Tourists. Tourists everywhere.
5. Shopping is exponentially better.

All in all, Tokyo was pretty rad, and I absolutely can’t wait to revisit. If you have been yet, JUST DO IT!

Meanwhile, show Samantha some love on her blog here and her IG here.

FKSLYxJPN, DAY 2

Oh, and how could I forget… on the train to Shibuya, we met this girl, who’s name slips my mind, from California that tagged along with us for most of our short time there. I highly doubt she’ll ever read this, but I hope she got around okay and is doing well.
