FKSLYxJPN, DAY 10

FKSLYxJPN, DAY 10

How did I go from day four to ten? Easy, I just did. If you really want to know what happened in the days between, then check out #FKTHEWORLD on Instagram.

Before I conclude the final post about this trip, I wanna give a shoutout to Matiere for all of the outfits and Zero UV for all of the sunnies! Without them I would’ve been naked and blind in Japan. Okay, maybe not entirely, but you get the point. That aside, it’s about that time to shed some light (and tears) about something I learned “the hard way.” On the last day in Japan, we went to Narita International Airport to check into our flight for our next destination, the Philippines, only to be told that I couldn’t actually go. WHYYY?!?!?! Well, because there’s a law in the Philippines that states you can’t travel into the country if your passport expires within 6 months. SO RIDICULOUS, I know, but apparently other countries (including the US) also have this law in effect. It just makes me wonder WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FK is the purpose of having an expiration date if the passport is practically worthless in it’s last 6 months??? Oh, and avoid ANA (All Nippon Airways) if possible. They were supposed to tell us about all of this before we left Los Angeles (they didn’t), and then told us it was our fault and we couldn’t refund the flights we never went on. SMMFH.

MORAL OF THE STORY | Read the find print. Make sure you’ve done all your research before going on vacation, especially internationally, because it’ll save you a lot of time, heartache, and money (by that, I mean like $1000 for a one-way ticket back home). BRB, gonna go cry about it (#sadboysclub) all over again with my friend, Hibiki.

Side note, we got to eat at Fujiya twice because of the setback, which didn’t completely make up for it, but definitely helped. I mean, look at these desserts!
